General Services includes but is not limited to; services provided by a non-profit, professional services, financial services, personal services, barber shops, hairdressers, tattoo parlours, manicurists, tailors, dress makers, shoe repair shops, dry cleaning establishments, laundromats, financial services, business support services, broadcasting studios, publishers, funeral services, animal and pet services, real estate services, household repair services, rental and leasing services, janitorial services, education services, travel services, utility services, and information technology services or adult services such as body-rub, body-painting, escort services or dating services.

Depending on the nature of your business, the following may be required to complete your business licence application:

• Number of employees (your employee count should include the business owner, but exclude all contractors/subcontractors as they are required to obtain their own business licences)
• Floor area (m²) of your business location.
• If you plan to operate a kennel, you will be required to provide a Kennel Operation Permit.
• If your business is a security profession as outlined by the Province of British Columbia, you will be required to provide a copy of your Provincial Security Licence.
• If you operate a drone between 250 grams and 25 kilograms, you will need to provide a copy of your Drone Pilot Certificate.
• If you are a registered non-profit organization, a copy of your Societies Act Certificate of Incorporation will be required.
