General and Personal Services includes services such as hair and aesthetics, spas and beauty services, laundry and dry cleaning, pet care (excluding veterinary services), cemeteries and funeral services, janitorial and cleaning services, and septic/grease tank cleaning, as well as travel agent and tour booking services.

Depending on the nature of your business, the following may be required to complete your business licence application:

• Number of employees (your employee count should include the business owner)
• Floor area (in m²) of your business location.
• If you are applying for a hairstylist or barber licence you will be asked to provide the number of chairs in your salon/barbershop.
• If you are applying for a laundry or dry cleaner licence you will be asked to provide the number of laundry machines.
• If you are applying for an animal and pet services licence and plan to operate a kennel, you will be required to provide a Kennel Operation Permit.
• If your business will be providing locksmith services you will be required to provide a copy of your BC Provincial Security Licence.
