Finance, Insurance, Real Estate & Property Management includes banks, credit unions, mortgage and loan brokers, investment banking and portfolio management; life, health, property and automobile insurance; as well as other financial investments like pensions, equity funds, bonds, dividends and other similar and related activities. This option also includes real estate brokers/land agents, property leasing and rental companies, and property management companies.

Depending on the nature of your business, the following may be required to complete your business licence application:

  • Number of employees (your employee count should include the business owner)
  • Floor area (in m2) of your business location.
  • If you are applying for an apartment licence you will be asked to provide the number of suites/rooms being rented.
  • If you are applying for a trust/insurance/investment/loan/mortgage company licence and plan to sell financial products, such as: mutual funds, insurance, securities, stocks, etc. you will be required to provide your Securities Trading Licence
