Arts, Entertainment & Recreation includes businesses for artists, writers, home handicrafts, dance and music studios and theatres. This category also includes entertainment and recreational facilities such as casinos, museums, zoos, arcades, mini golf, billiard halls, sports and fitness facilities and other similar places. It also includes events like cultural performances, trade shows, flea markets, dog shows, awareness walks and other special events.

Depending on the nature of your business, the following may be required to complete your business licence application:

• Number of employees (your employee count should include the business owner)
• Floor area (in m²) of your business location.
• If you are applying for a bowling alley licence you will be asked to provide the number of lanes.
• If you are applying for a casino licence you will be asked to provide your Provincial Gaming Licence Number.
• If you are applying for a pool room/billiard hall licence you will be asked to provide the number of tables.
• If you are applying for a home handicraft fair, flea market or trade show licence you will be asked to provide the number of merchants.
• If you are applying for a special event licence you will be asked to provide the number of days your event will be taking place.
• If you are applying for a theatre, hall or arena licence you will be asked to provide the number of seats.
• If you are applying for a photography, audio and/or video engineering or production licence, and your business operates a drone between 250 grams and 25 kilograms, you will need to provide a copy of your drone pilot certificate.
